The Perfect Little Pizza

This is one that even the kids can do (with a little adult supervision of course)… the perfect pizza for two, takes just half an hour to make and tastes like a little slice of Italy itself!

Ingredients for The Base

250g plain flour,

1 teaspoon dried active baking yeast,

1 pinch salt,

300ml water,

1 tablespoon olive oil.

Ingredients for The Topping

A nice tomato sauce (we like Dolmio sauce

with mushrooms),

Mozzarella cheese, sliced or grated,

Ham, mushrooms, peppers, olives, sweetcorn… anything you desire.

Whisk together the flour, yeast and salt. Stir in the water and olive oil, adding more flour a little at a time if the dough is too sticky. Form the dough into a ball, cover and let the dough rest for fifteen minutes.

Preheat the oven to 200c / gas mark 6. Spread the dough onto a generously floured baking tray.

Spread the tomato sauce over the pizza base, layer on the mozzarella cheese and add other ingredients as desired.

Bake in the preheated oven until the pizza base is puffed and golden. This usually takes about fifteen minutes.

Viola! A delicious quick slice of Italy!

Serve, devour and enjoy!
