Beach Street Felixstowe is a unique food and retail led visitor destination coming to the Suffolk coast – a hub of street-food vendors, pop-ups, cafes, bakerys, indie retailers and artisan producers.
The concept is to provide visitors to the area with a new destination on the seafront. Somewhere that encourages people to hang out, wander around, find boutique retailers, enjoy street-food style cuisine and lovingly-made coffees – all in a creative and colourful street-style setting. Units will range in size from smaller hatch-service style spaces to larger shops and cafes, some enjoying balconies with panoramic sea-views. Communal seating areas and a landscaped courtyard will create a sociable and accessible environment to be enjoyed by the visitors to Beach Street and also its resident businesses. The project will use converted shipping containers to create versatile commercial spaces available to rent on simple and transparent agreements, making it particularly suitable for start-ups and businesses looking to fly the nest. This kind of development has become successful over the last couple of years in larger towns and cities across the UK, and will be something exciting and progressive for our great corner of Suffolk. Now open to applications from passionate food and retail operators and producers interested in trading from this unique development, the project is finalising its design stages before tools hit the ground at the end of the year, with completion expected in 2020.
Short-term rental agreement are available from £60 p/week, so whether you have a passionate culinary business or a unique retail venture, get in touch with the Beach Street Felixstowe team via their facebook page.
